Live Review: Goblin (Metal as Fuck)

Goblin terrified Melbourne with their inimitable Giallo classics on a chilly Sunday night. Goblin creep, bolt and stalk from the very heart of metal itself…

Without Goblin, we’d be without metal. Well, not entirely, but metal as we currently understand it.

Interview: The Devil Wears Prada (Beat)

Jeremy DePoyster is addicted. He’s addicted to thrashing in front of thousands and playing sets alongside his teen idols. He'll get another hit after his 20+ hour plane ride serving as A Day To Remember's trusty lieutenants during their upcoming Australian tour. If they don't take too many risks with their bus, that is.

Read more at Beat.com.au. also in print edition #1379 all over Melbourne town.

I, along with countless others, feel eternally grateful for rock music's lapse of judgment. - See more at: http://www.beat.com.au/music/black-sabbath-13#sthash.RBgIF1GJ.dpuf

Article: The Beards (Beat)

The Beards want you to grow a beard. Bassist Nathaniel Beard is the world's most outspoken beard advocate and he's been busy planting seeds in Europe's chins to spread global beard "revolution." Nathaniel Beard is quietly fuming underneath his luscious, double arrowhead beard. Chatting while he caught five spare minutes in London, he can still taste bitterness in and around his beard. Two Sundays ago, the band played the Bearded Theory festival, placed on the outskirts of Derby in the UK. The problem was that it lived up to its name. It was bearded only in theory.
